Privacy

What PuckQ collects, what it doesn't, and why there's no cookie banner.

PuckQ is an independent, non-commercial fan project, built to be light on data: no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no selling or sharing of anyone's information.

Analytics

We count page views to see which pages are useful, using our own privacy-friendly analytics. It stores only a page path and a date, with no cookies, no IP addresses, and nothing that identifies you. There is nothing to opt out of, because nothing is tracking you.

Cookies & local storage

Public pages set no tracking cookies. The site uses your browser's local storage for two functional things: remembering your light or dark theme, and remembering that you dismissed a site announcement. Signing in to the private admin (used only by the site operator) sets a first-party session cookie; ordinary visitors never trigger it.

Third-party services

Stats, schedules, and media are drawn from the NHL's publicly accessible endpoints. Admin sign-in uses GitHub for authentication, and only for the operator. PuckQ does not embed advertising networks, social pixels, or third-party analytics.

Your choices

You can clear the site's local storage at any time from your browser settings, which simply resets the theme and banner preferences. Because there is no tracking, there is nothing else to manage.

Changes

If PuckQ ever adds advertising or a third-party service that uses tracking cookies, this page will be updated and an appropriate consent notice added before it goes live. Questions or a takedown request? Please get in touch and it will be addressed promptly.
